Cute Bunny Bum

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

Happy Saturday! For today's post, I wanted an Easter themed card, but this card may work for other occasions as well...
 Lisa

This is Cute Bunny Bum (M136).  And that it is... what an adorable image!

I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I applied Glossy Accents on the bunny's tail and heart.

The pattern paper is from Echo Park - Splendid Sunshine 6x6 Paper Pad, along with some SU Night of Navy and White cardstock.  The image was die cut using Spellbinders - Circle Die and then layered.  The sentiment was stamped with a Versamark Ink Pad and White Embossing Powder was applied then heated.  Foam tape was applied under the main image and sentiment to give this card some dimension. To complete this card, a bunch of white dots were added around the sentiment with a White Gel Pen, and a couple of white satin ribbon strips were placed under the sentiment.  I hope you like today's card and it inspires you to create one!

Supplies Used:
Ink - Tombow Markers - 969, 977 and 856.  Versamark Ink Pad, White and Black Embossing Powder.

Paper - Echo Park - Splendid Sunshine 6x6 Paper Pad; SU Night of Navy and White Cardstock.

Party Hippo - Shaker Card

Hello High Hopes Fans!!!

TGIF!!!! For this week's card, it was time to try something new.  A technique that I have never attempted before, so here's my first shaker card....
 Jane

A little different view to see the confetti inside...

This is Party Hippo (S201) and Lg. Fancy Happy Birthday sentiment (H037).  Such a fun card to make... I don't know why I haven't tried this technique sooner?!?!?!?

I started by colouring the image with Tombow Markers and water. After the image was all coloured and dry, I needed to get a plan together on what I was going to use for a border around the image and the materials for inside the shaker part.

After some tough choices, I decided on a stitched square die to create the frame of the shaker.  Two dies were used in the set - the larger one to cut the outside edge and the next size smaller for the inside of the frame.  The main image was cut down to a slightly smaller size than the frame.  A clear plastic sheet was glued on the inside of the frame.  Thin strips of foam tape were applied behind the frame to cover the entire square.  Before adhering the foam tape, I dug through my craft room to find some really old birthday confetti, that was purchased from the local dollar store, many years ago.  This confetti was added on top of the main image loosely.  The frame with the foam tape on the back, was stuck down on top of the main image square.  It is very important to ensure that you have a good seal around the image and frame, or you will spill out all of your contents of your shaker very quickly, when you pick it up!!!  I found this out the hard way! lol!

The designer paper is from Echo Park - Birthday Wishes 6x6 paper pad, along with SU Not Quite Navy, Really Rust and White Cardstock.  The sentiment was stamped with a Versamark Ink Pad and White Embossing Powder was applied then heated.  Foam tape was also used to attach the sentiment.  To complete this card, a couple of decorative plastic balloons (from the dollar store - purchased many years ago too), were added on the top corner of the frame.  A small piece of linen thread was tied around the knot part of each balloon, to finish this card.

Happy Spring Frogs

I can't believe it's the last Thursday in February already! Whoo Hoo for Spring being just around the corner!

My post today features Froggy Stack. These frogs just exude happiness don't they?!? Although the one in the middle is just a wee bit squished!

                                                      Donna

I started by colouring my stamp with alcohol markers and then you guessed it - fussy cut it out. I restamped the flower numerous times to create my bouquet on the right and used a Spectrum Sparkle pen to add some glitter. The frogs are put on using pop dots. I added some grass, a fence and some flower filled clouds. The card is finished off with a stamped sentiment and my favourite - gumdrops!

Trackin' Thomas & Lg. Tee Pee

Howdy - MichelleO here today and today I had some fun making a more manly card this week. I just love this guy! He is Trackin' Thomas  ... and he is on the hunt...

Isn't he just adorable? I matched him up with the Lg. Tee Pee image as a background.  Too fun and when you use the sentiment "Shhh!! Tracking Birthday" Sentiment. I colored with my Copics (colors below) and then found some papers from Authentique Legacy Collection to used. I sewed all the layers down and used Kraft Card stock for the base. I added three buttons for embellishments.

Un-Frogettable!

Happy Tuesday!
Today's card was super fun to make and those adorable frogs just make me grin!
I used the High Hopes Stamps image called "Froggy Stack" and the sentiment is called "You're Un-frogettable". I created my own background and layered it on top of some polka dot paper from the Echo Park Dots & Stripes Christmas 6x6 collection. A bit of natural twine and a cute charm finished off my design.
I created my background by making my own stencils. For the cloud stencil I used a die border and the cat tails I used a svg. file and my Silhouette Cameo. Then I sponged Distress ink onto the white paper underneath.
On the inside I used the sentiment called "One of Those Days" also by HH! I also added a border  down the side of the card made with the MFT Small Monarch Border die.
Copics Used:
Frogs: YG03, YG25, YG17, N3, R24
Flower: YG67, YR04, YR07, YR09, Y38
Lily Pad: YG61, YG63, YG67

Bee Happy

                             Happy Thursday High Hopes fans!

My post today features Bumble Bear. How cute is he with his big flower and heart on his chest!

I decided to get in touch with my CAS (Clean and Simple) side with this card - a definite challenge for me!

                                                      Donna

Sparkly Wings Close Up

I started by colouring my bear with alcohol markers, adding sparkle to his wings and fussy cutting him out. Next, I figured out the size my piece of white cardstock had to be and stamped a flower splatter with some pink ink to match. I created my sentiment on my computer and doodled the frame around the edge. CAS is a challenge for me but I am happy with how this one turned out.

Bossy's Bad Mood - Waiting for Heifer

Howdy - Michelle O here today and I had some fun with a few great High Hopes Stamps - Bossie's Bad Mood is this one, and I just love matching her up with the sentiment "Waiting For Heifer". I know I get grumpy when I wait for something a long time! LOL

I colored with my Copics (colors below) masking off the cow and adding the High Hopes "Bale O'Hay" image for her to be sitting on, and then found some sweet papers from Authentique's Legacy collection. Inking the edges of all the papers with Rangers Distress Ink Tea Dye, and the sewing all the layers together. A band of vintage ribbon around the middle. Martha Stewart Frond and branch punches and lots of mulberry roses. I inked the leaves, branches and roses a little to give them a little more aged look.

Copic colors used -
